  Monthly Lecture Series
Sunday, September 19, 2:00 pm
PET EMERGENCY TREATMENT
Guest Lecturer: Julie Anderson, DVM
Senior Clinician, Emergency Medicine, Blue Pear Veterinary Partners

Dr. Julie Anderson

The Farm at Natchez Trace will offer the seventh in a series of nine lectures in its 2010 Lecture Series on Sunday, September 19th, 2:00 p.m. with guest speaker Julie Anderson, DVM, Senior Clinician, Emergency Medicine, at Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners. The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and reservations are requested by calling The Farm at 615-662-6628, or via email at lectureseries@thefarmatnatcheztrace.com.

We all know chocolate is harmful to dogs. But does one Hershey's kiss require a trip to the emergency clinic? What about a whole bag? Discussions by Dr. Anderson will include common issues that arise, how to be prepared, and when to seek emergency veterinary treatment for your pet.

Dr. Julie Anderson has been practicing emergency medicine since 2004. In 2008 she joined Pet Emergency Treatment Services, which became a Blue Pearl Veterinary Partners hospital in 2009, as a senior clinician in emergency medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1999; and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, also from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Off duty, Dr. Anderson enjoys photography, reading, and gardening. Her family includes two dogs, four cats, and one box turtle.

The Farm at Natchez Trace is proud to offer the educational series, now in its fifth year, to help pet owners gain knowledge about current issues affecting the emotional and physical health of their pets. Future topics will be senior pets, and feline health and behavior.
